New Guilds

Creating a New Guild

At this time Tir Righ guilds follow the An Tir guidlines for guilds with the exception that they are Recognized by the Coronet rather than the Crown.

To create a new guild you need a minimum of five members from three different branches, and you need to write up your purpose and charter.  You can get help with writing your charter and purpose by contacting the Tir Righ Guilds Deputy (on the officer page), or by talking to the currently active guilds.

From the An Tir Handbook:

To start a new guild, first get a bunch of like-minded folks together and while you’re sharing your common interest talk up the concept of guildhood; meet regularly. When you feel you’re ready to start the process to become an official kingdom guild, write up a proposal for presentation to the Crown and the Kingdom Arts & Sciences Minister. In the proposal include the purpose of the guild, its structure, the first officers, activities, the limits of the guild, and proof of at least five Sustaining Members in two different branches.

If your guild is approved by the Crown and the Arts & Sciences Minister, you will go through an incipiency period of six months to three years. If the Crown and the Arts & Sciences Minister are satisfied that you are a viable guild and will be an asset to the Kingdom, you may petition the Crown to execute a charter making your guild official.

If your guild produces a newsletter, you should send complimentary copies to the Royalty and the Kingdom Arts & Sciences Minister.
